The energy healing was easy was an easy connection. I work with an acupuncturist, Dr. Calvin Lee in Modesto. Acupuncture is part of energy healing and it deals with energy flow through the body - specifically called meridians. As for crystals - I was given a crystal as a gift from a patient, then I got another one that same week from another Modesto colleague. I remembered as a child I had a stone collection and it brought back some great memories. I knew that there's a thought that crystals possessed healing abilities and feng shui influences. So, I thought I'd look them up in books and on the internet. Since then, I've collected a few other crystals on my own due to my collecting habits. I also collected a book called "All about Crystals" by Connie Islin.

It's to talk about some terminology and characteristics I've learned while exploring crystals and energy healing. The concept of energy healing was introduced to me by first reading about acupuncture. What's next? Maybe Reiki?
I'm Vince Liau, I work part time at Surgical Artistry. I am in-between colleges and trying to figure out my real future. This is a start. I'm learning from Dr. Lee, as he has made web pages for what seems to be a lifetime. I'm no expert at crystals & gem stones - yet. In fact I'm quite the beginner, but I've learned a whole bunch of things recently and I wanted to share, while I'm learning about how to make web pages. Occurs in sedimentary rocks. They have a central cavity with internal crystal formations or concentric bands. The exterior is usually a limestone or a related rock, while the interior contains quartz crystals. There are also geodes that are completely filled with crystal, being solid all the way through. These geode are called nodules.
Okay, here you have to leap with me. Clearing is necessary before using any stone for healing. The clearer the energy of a healing stone, the more powerful it is. Crystals and healing gem stones need to be cleared as soon as they are purchased. Methods listed below:
Sea Salt
Moonlight
Cool tap water
Smudge them with burning cedar or sage
Bury them
Sun
The diva of the stone is the stone's life-force energy. Talking to the Diva of the stone is part of "programming" the stone with an intent which the stone can "accept" or "reject."
I'm not the only one into gemstones / crystals
You can find these gemstone healing / properties on numerous books and websites, I've listed here ones that I'm interested in and properties that pertain to me.
Amethyst - Protection, helps break bad habits, clarity of goals, helps achieve goals, stress relief, relieves insomnia
Angelite - Enhances creativity, talking to angels, reduces stress
Celestite - Clarity of mind, clear communication skills, calming, harmonious. Encourages inspiration for delicate art and esthetic sense.
Citrine - Self-esteem, joy, clear thinking, mental focus, mental endurance, brings more cash, activates solar plexus, never needs clearing or cleansing. Can also be used to black negative energy, just like plain clear quartz. This blocking of negative energy is possibly useful for energy healers/practitioners (ie. Acupuncture) and of course people who have to deal with negative energy around them. This would be a way to protect oneself from the onslaught of negative energy throughout the day.
Fluorite - Focusing, ability to concentrate, "genius stone"
Jade - Health, weatlh and longevity stone, protects from accidents
Red Jasper - promotes independence, responsibility, and progression, facilitates in remembering dreams, sends negativity back to its source. Increases physical endurance after physically or mentally exhausting jobs.
Rose Quartz - Peace, heals emotional wounds, skin and cell rejuvenation
Snowflake Obsidian - balancing mind, body and spirit - it is grounding. "stone of purity"
Tiger eye - sharpens perception. brings prosperity, protection from accidents, makes one invisible to negative energy.
Zoisite - Transmutes negative energies into positive. Creativity and focus. Dispels laziness. A naturual detoxifier and reduces inflammation. Increases intuition
Thee are no set rules, use them creatively.
